The Swedish System

The Swedish System of Home Production consists of applying the latest factory automation technology to the challenge of producing top quality custom homes, production homes, multi-family and commercial projects.

All walls, roof trusses and flooring systems are engineered and produced using specialized machinery in a controlled, off-site location. The trusses, flooring and wall panels are assembled on-site using a construction crane and fit together within extremely tight tolerances.

All wall panels are produced using KD and Engineered lumber to within millimeter of specification, something previously unheard of.  Wall panels are produced and sheathed in up to 27' lengths and up to 12' normal wall heights, windows installed, electrical chases drilled and base plate drilled for hold downs and risers.  Windows are placed by machine in an opening of exact dimensions with the flashing to manufacturers' specifications in a controlled environment.  Floor panels are produced up to 10' wide and 40' long, with the standard product offering the Weyerhaeuser Silent Floor warranty using I-Joist and Edge Gold T&G sheathing. Material such as open web floor trusses may be requested.

All these factors come together to produce a Home, Multi-family or Commercial structure of greater Quality than previously available, superb amenities and superior energy efficiency. The QC standard in Sweden on completed panels is zero air penetration in a 50 mile-per-hour wind.
